Live large at Mason.

Undergraduate Housing

Mason’s campus has more than 40 residence halls, from suites to apartments. Many are new or have been recently renovated to be even more spacious and comfortable. More than 75 percent of all freshmen live on campus, so there’s always plenty going on. A variety of amenities are available within each building, including high-speed Internet access and free laundry facilities (but you still have to fold).

Most first-year students will live in traditional residence hall communities such as Presidents Park, a complex of 12 residence halls.All rooms are furnished with beds, desks, chairs, dressers, and closets. Carpets and window treatments are provided.Most bedrooms in Presidents Park are double or triple occupancy. A small number of quads and singles are also available.Bedrooms are accessed off the main hallway, and residents share bathrooms (designated by gender).Each of these buildings has two or three floors and is home to 26 to 40 residents.All halls are coed by floor or floor section.Common areas, such as lounges and laundry, are distributed throughout the community.

Presidents Park and the Commons are non-smoking and alcohol-free housing areas.

Housing is guaranteed for all freshmen who submit a housing application by May 1.

Share More Than Just a Room

We also offer Living Learning Communities (LLCs) where you can reside among like-minded students who share your passion for a particular field or interest, such as arts, outdoor adventure or sustainability. Explore our 16 communities, designed for students of all majors, and make meaningful connections.

As part of an LLC, you will attend at least one activity a month, enroll in and contribute to an LLC-related course and help to create a community.

Upper-Classmen Housing

Some buildings are designated for upper-classmen, where they live in suites or apartment-style accommodations.

The University Townhouses are also available to upper-class residents, and is the campus housing area most like an independent living situation. They are located a short walk from the Fairfax Campus.

There are 34 two-bedroom townhouses, each accommodating four residents.

The townhouses include a living/dining room, full-size kitchen, two full bathrooms, a small patio/porch, washer and dryer, and full furnishings.

Mason offers more than 30 dining options throughout all of our campuses. We also provide vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and Halal choices, and we can accommodate students with allergies or dietary restrictions。Besides residential dining, there are many familiar favorites, including Subway, Einstein Bagels, Panera Bread, Taco Bell, and even a 24-hour Starbucks for when you just have to have a chai latte at 2 a.m.Mason’s Anytime Dining plans can be accessed 24 hours a day on the Fairfax Campus in three student dining locations and twice a day on the Arlington and Science and Technology Campuses (Manassas) while classes are in session.

Bonus Funds are accepted in all dining venues on campus and can be increased by upgrading to the next meal-plan option. Funds must be used by the end of the semester.Guest meals are provided so students can treat friends or family.Under the Weather? We’ll Bring the Soup.When the flu hits, you just want to curl up in bed. But you still need nourishment. Not to worry. Mason Dining Services will provide pre-packaged healthy meals.Call 703-993-5052 or 571-212-3023 to request a meal(s). When calling, provide your G# and requested meal from the options found here, and any special dietary needs.One, two, or three meals may be picked up at one time.If you are unable leave your residence hall, please ask your roommate or friend to pick up your meal.Meals are distributed at Cashier Station in Southside from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on weekdays, and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.Students with residential, Freedom or commuter meal plans will be charged the cost of one meal on their meal plan for each packaged meal received. Those who do not have meal plans may purchase meals with cash or Mason Money.

Student Health Services

From sprains to strains，Our physicians and nurse practitioners provide easily accessible health care in a comforting and confidential environment. We provide care for a range of needs, including diagnosing and treating injuries and illness, providing immunizations, managing chronic health concerns, and conducting physical exams. A nurse advice line is available when the clinic is closed, via 703-993-2831. There is no charge to see a health care provider, but there are fees for lab tests, medications, immunizations, and supplies.If you require care that is outside the scope of our practice, we can recommend a physician in the community.

Counseling and Psychological Services

CAPS provides confidential personal and academic services to students. Individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, consultations to students, faculty and staff, and community education programs are offered.
