2、英語語言能力考試
持有來自美國、英國、愛爾蘭、新西蘭、澳大利亞、以及加拿大(除了魁北克)大學的成績單的學生需要參加并且通過英語語言能力考試，以此來證明自己的英語水平滿足明尼蘇達圣瑪麗大學的學術需要。

English Language Proficiency Exam
Students with transcripts from universities located outside of the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada (except for the Quebec Province) are required to take and pass English proficiency testing.
Saint Mary’s accepts the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 79, the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6.5, the Michigan Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) with a minimum score of 80 percent, or the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) with a minimum score of 57.
Saint Mary's Winona School Code
TOEFL/IELTS scores must be sent officially to Saint Mary's through the respective testing organizations, along with the Winona school code*: 6632
Students who have completed 30 undergraduate or 12 graduate credits from an accredited U.S. institution or the equivalent of these credits from an institution in the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada (except for the Quebec Province) will be exempt from English proficiency testing.English as a Second Language (ESL) Program
Those who score between 69-78 TOEFL 5.5-6.0 IELTS 70-79% MELAB 53-57 PTE are eligible to take the courses offered through the De La Salle Language Institute on the Winona Campus to improve their English skills. An institutional TOEFL exam will be conducted at the end of each semester. The applicant has one year to meet the English Language Proficiency requirement for regular admission into their original program.
Academic Credential Evaluation
Transcripts from countries other than the United States must be evaluated on a course-by-course basis and be deemed equivalent to accredited U.S. university standards. Students may choose one of the following to do the evaluation: World Education Services, Educational Perspectives, the Education Credential Evaluators, or One Earth. Students are responsible for having their transcripts evaluated as well as for the associated costs.
Official results must be sent to Saint Mary's Twin Cities Office of Admission through the respective testing organizations using the Winona school code: 6632. Saint Mary's has one school code registered to the Winona Campus, but students at all Saint Mary's locations must use this same code for mailing purposes. International transcripts should not be sent directly to Saint Mary's University.
