研究生申請者申請羅德島設計學院的入學條件

1、申請截止時間

羅德島設計學院的研究生課程入學申請從9月1日開始;

所有的研究生課程申請截止時間：1月10日

羅德島設計學院將會在3月24日之前通知學生錄取情況。

2、申請資格

在2017年6月份之前在公認的大學或者學院或者本科學士學位證書的學生，具備申請羅德島設計學院20170-18學年的研究生課程的資格。

或的文憑而不是學位證書的國際學生在申請羅德島設計學院研究生課程的時候，需要遞交一份書面申明，并且由適當的學校官員證明該文憑狀態等同于美國的學士學位證書。

3、你所需要遞交的文件

入學申請表—通過網上入學申請遞交你的羅德島設計學院入學申請表，以及所有其他的學歷資格證書，申請費用是60美元。

學術成績單—在申請最初時候，你需要提供所有本科以及/或者研究生學習階段的非正式成績單，顯示在公認的大學或者學院該本科學位課程已經完成或者是預期完成的證明。如果你是在非英語國家的學校上學的話，那么你的學術學歷應該請指定的翻譯者翻譯成英文文件。你可以在網上入學申請中上傳你的非正式的成績單，獲得羅德島設計學院錄取通知的學生需要提交正式的成績單。

托福考試或者雅思考試—所有以英語為第二語言的申請者，包括美國公民，必須遞交托福考試成績(英語作為第二語言的考試)或者是雅思考試成績(國際英語語言測試系統)。因為英語語言能力是申請者進入羅德島設計學院的前提條件，所以申請者必須在托福考試或者雅思考試中達到相應的考試成績要求。羅德島設計學院要求申請者的托福考試成績不低于93分，雅思考試成績不低于6.5分。如果申請者之前就讀的學校是以英語為授課語言的學校，那么有機會獲得英語語言能力要求豁免的資格。

Graduate Applicants

DEADLINE

Applications for graduate admission are accepted beginning on September 1.

Deadline for all graduate applications: January 10

Students will be notified of the outcome of their candidacy no later than March 24.

ELIGIBILITY

Students who will have completed an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university by June 2017 are eligible to apply to the graduate program for admission beginning in the 2017/18 academic year.

International students completing requirements for a diploma rather than a degree must submit a written statement prepared by an appropriate school official verifying that the status of the diploma is equivalent to a US baccalaureate degree.

ITEMS YOU’LL NEED TO SEND

Application Form Submit your RISD application form, and all other credentials, through our online application. The application fee is $60.

Academic Transcripts Initially, you must provide unofficial transcripts of all undergraduate and/or graduate study indicating satisfactory completion, or evidence of anticipated completion, of an undergraduate degree program from an accredited college or university. If you are attending a school in a non-English-speaking country, your academic credentials must be translated into English by an approved translator. You can upload your unofficial transcripts within your online application. Enrolling students will later be required to submit official transcripts.

Portfolio

Graduate applicants are required to submit 10–20 examples of visual work, with certain programs suggesting more specific ideas or portfolio requirements .

Statement of Purpose

Graduate applicants must submit a written statement (500–750 words) outlining their interest and goals in pursuing graduate study.

Letters of Recommendation

Applicants are required to submit three letters of recommendation. Recommendation letters should be written by teachers or other professionals who have firsthand knowledge of your art or academic achievements and can comment on your potential for graduate study. You may invite your recommenders to upload their letters through SlideRoom. If your recommenders are unable to submit through SlideRoom, their letters may be emailed to admissions@risd.edu or mailed to the Graduate Admissions Office.

Tests

TOEFL or IELTS | All applicants who speak English as a second language, including US citizens, must submit results from either TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System). Since proficiency in English is a prerequisite for acceptance, applicants must attain an acceptable score on either test; RISD requires a minimum result of 93 on the TOEFL or 6.5 on IELTS. The language test requirement may be waived for applicants who are enrolled in an institution where English is the language of instruction.

Plan to take the TOEFL or IELTS well in advance of the application deadline since it may take six weeks for your scores to be sent to RISD by the test agency.

Graduate Record Exam (GRE) | Results from the Graduate Record Examination are not required, but MA, MAT and MLA candidates are encouraged to submit their scores.
