Assistant or Associate Professor - Biological Sciences
The School of Biological Sciences at the University of Missouri - Kansas City invites applications for one full-time tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Applicants applying modern laboratory and/or computational approaches to address basic questions framed at the molecular and/or cellular levels are encouraged to apply. A primary concern is demonstrated excellence in research, as the faculty member would be expected to initiate or continue an independent, extramurally funded research program. Potential or demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring is also important. An additional concern is building on our current research strengths in the areas of molecular recognition and developmental biology.
The School of Biological Sciences grants degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels. . MS and PhD degrees are granted in Cell Biology Biophysics or Molecular Biology Biochemistry. Life and health sciences is one of three areas emphasized in the UMKC campus mission. Participating units include the School of Biological Sciences, the School of Medicine, the School of Pharmacy, the School of Dentistry, and the School of Nursing and Health Studies.
