The Department of Pharmacology Toxicology at Michigan State University (MSU), East Lansing (http://www.phmtox.msu.edu/), invites individuals with expertise in cardiovascular research, including whole animal experimentation; apply for an academic year tenure-system position at the level of Assistant Professor. The ideal applicant will have a track record in employing whole animal approaches towards investigating mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases, and would be able to collaborate with a faculty well-established in a systems and integrative approach to cardiovascular research. MSU supports core facilities that are ideal for in vivo experimentation; this includes radiotelemetry, surgical rooms, MRI and micro-CT equipment as well as genomics, histology and biochemistry cores.

Candidates must have a doctoral degree (PhD, ScD, DVM, DO, MD or equivalent) and at least 2 years postdoctoral experience with relevant publications. Preference will be given to candidates with extramural funding.
